Pastoral Staff
Father George was born and raised in Philadelphia. He was a teacher and a parish director of music before entering the Seminary. Bishop Paul Bootkoski appointed Father George pastor of St. Joseph’s in 2008.
Father Krystian was born in Poland the year Cardinal Karol Wojtyla became Pope John Paul II. He was ordained in Poland and taught CCD in the public schools until he came to New Jersey in 2006. Alex came to the United States from Costa Rica fifteen years ago. He has a background in communications and web design. He divides his time between the Trenton Diocesan office of Communication and St. Joseph’s where he has been a Pastoral associate since 2006. Jamie was asked to bring his special talents to St. Joseph's in 2007 by Fr. George. Father George recognized Jamie’s high energy level and special ability to make people feel comfortable. He remembers their names and stories so they know they are not just another face in the crowd. He has really been a gift to the life of the parish. Katie came to St. Joseph's with a background in bi-lingual early education. As the parish Catechetical leader, she sees her role as accompanying our children on their faith journey and giving them practical skills, not just in church, but in their daily lives. She wants the faith formation experience to be a place where children feel safe, comfortable, and where they fit in. Carol has been a parishioner since 1989 and the leader of the Rite of Christian Initiation since 2005. She has been a nurse for 27 years and is currently working towards a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry. Bio coming soon!

"I love being a priest and I love being the pastor of St. Joseph's. I want people to feel that our beautiful church is their spiritual home where God speaks to them. The parish belongs to all of us. Everyone has gifts and I would like to see each one of you use those gifts to strengthen our community and to help pass the gift of our faith on to our children."
"I would like St. Joseph's to be the parish that other parishes will look to and feel they want to be like us. Most importantly, I want people to know they are welcome whether they are long time parishioners or Catholics who have not been to church in a long time or anyone not familiar with our faith who would like to have some questions answered. Call me. I would like to get to know you."

He says he is especially impressed that the parishioners are involved in the day to day workings of the parish. "I really enjoy the universality of Saint Joseph's. Everyone is represented here. We have young and old, many different nationalities and races all come together to worship God in this beautiful church."
Father is looking forward to leading the Youth group and welcomes your participation.

"I assist Father George in serving the Latino community. I always try to stay focused on the vision of the parish. I pray that whatever I do, I do it with God’s guidance."
Alex has a special love for the people of St. Joseph’s. His enthusiasm and outgoing nature make him a special asset to the parish. You can meet Alex and his family at the 12:30 Latino Mass.

When asked what he hopes to accomplish at St. Joe’s Jamie says, "I'm trying to bring a sense of community to the parish. I want there to be something going on every week that will appeal to all the different parishioners and bring them together. I get the ball rolling and do the leg work but then I turn it over to the parishioners to make it their own."
Jamie's work with the choir has been one of his most rewarding responsibilities. He raves about the talent and dedication of the members. Music is a significant part of our worship at St. Joseph's and the choir has enhanced our celebration of the Eucharist. Their concerts at Christmas and Easter are events we all look forward to.

When asked why her family chose St. Joseph's as their parish, she said, "The people here are very welcoming and supportive. My second child was born early and there were some complications. People that we didn't even know came out of the woodwork to lend their support.

The Rite is a two year process. Carol and her team accompany the candidates on their journey of faith to know God's love for them. "This is not a process to teach the rules. I hope to help them to know Jesus Christ and see how much God loves them. Faith cannot be taught. It is caught."
Carol moved to Hillsborough several years ago, but she continues to be a parishioner at St. Joe's because of all the support she felt when she first came to the parish as a single mother of two boys.
